I am looking for curly/wavy hair extensions that are at a good price. I have been looking at the Jessica Simpson ones and they look like they would do the job...but they are fairly pricey.
I am looking for something that I can put in myself and it will look nice and real. I have shoulder length brown hair. (If that helps at all)

HSN (home shopping network) has the Jessica Simpson synthetic ones, or you can try some from Sally's Beauty Supply - they have the real hair ones and I know someone that wears them and they look REAL!! Or, you can try ebay for the Jessica Simpson real human hair ones, or a lot of salons can order the Jessica Simpson real human hair ones. Next week, I am ordering the real human hair Jessica Simpson ones from my beautician as my hair had to be chopped chin length due to a bad straightener, and I look better with long hair and don't want the great lengths or glue in kind because I want my hair to grow back healthily. You could always check out Sally Beauty Supply or stores like that, but you get what you pay for. Spending the money to get them done in a salon is well worth it. They last a long time and you know they are done right!

Are there really curly hair extensions anywhere?
I have afro caribean hair, thats extremely curly which makes my hair very short infact its almost double the length when straight.So to get the lenghth I want my hair to be is just impossible, so my only option is curly extensions. But I'm yet to find any extensions as curly as my hair, anybody know of any? preferably not too dear but not poor quality either, and clip in if preferble, but open to any type that are curly because cant find any! thanx.Are there really curly hair extensions anywhere?

I love long curly hair, I didnt cut them for a year and just look at my avatar, thats how my hair looks like. long and curly. but now my hair tips are damaged, but I dont wanna cut them, cause then my hair will be shorter. it also takes a lot more time to have long curly hair, cause curly hair curls up. I live in a small town in Texas, so the prices here are a little more reasonable. My husband has even put fusion link extensions in my hair that were curly. Curly hair extensions.....?

But if you buy HUMAN hair extensions that are curly/wavy then you can straighten them, but if you do it too much then it will eventually fry the hair.

1. My hair curls from the root so i have to straighten it with the dryer and a large brush if i had extentions how would i be able to pull the hair with the brush as i would be pulling on the joins of the extentions?
You would still be able to blow dry your hair with the extensions in but you must use a soft bristle brush. The joins are very strong and if they are attached correctly they won't come out by pulling on them, so with a flexible bristle the brush won't pull your hair out at the root! You should still get a smooth finish.
2. I have shoulder length hair that is naturally dark blonde with hi-lights, it is naturally curly which I hate, so I dry it straight. the fringe has snapped and now lies around my eye brows, I would like hair extension on the frost is this possible?
Yes, you can have extensions on your fringe, as long as the condition is ok. The only problem you may have is with the blowdrying it straight. It might be an idea to have your own hair straightened first and then have the extensions put in. This will not only make it easier to get the result you require but also save the condition of both the extension hair and your own.
3. Can extensions be longer than 20 inches, i would idealy like 25 inches?
It is possible to get 25 inch hair in both European and Asian but it would take a few weeks to arrive and the price is outrageous! (the labour cost is the same but to buy the hair is quite astounding).
4. How long do extensions last?
The hair itself will last as long as your own hair, it's real! As long as you look after it (there is some maintenance to be done every 7 to 12 weeks due to natural shedding) most people keep them in until their own hair has caught up length wise, but some clients continue to keep them for thickness. The extension hair does actually 'shed' slightly though, so occasionally you will have to top it up with some extra hair but this can be worked in to your maintenance.
5. If I colour my hair what colour extentions would i have to have?
You can have any colour you like but if it is different to your natural colour you will need to keep tinting your roots as it grows. This can be done quite easily and without damage to the bonds.
6. I was wondering about having the underneath hair a darker colour i have seen a number of people with this and it looks very effective but i dont know if this can be done with extensions.
Yes, we can use darker hair at the bottom and have done this recently. It looked very effective (and buying some darker hair along with blonde will save a few quid too!).
7. What is the hair which is used like, can it be washed etc in the same way?
There are 2 types of Human hair available in high quality Asian and Eurpean hair which is as good if not better condition than the average head of hair. These can both be washed / styled as normal with a little extra care and avoiding some ingredients in the products so as not to affect the bonds.
8. Whats the difference between the two types of different hair?
The Asian hair is a little courser than the European and has no cuticle (outer layer, not detectable to the eye) so it just needs a bit more looking after with products and conditioning.
9. How offen will it require me coming back to maintain it?
Maintenance will depend on how well you look after the hair, how much natural shedding you have and how often you wash it. Some of our clients (not spending much time on the hair) needed to have it maintained monthly but most clients will look after it well enough to leave it for 8 / 12 weeks.
10. I would like to know if one can sell their long hair in a salon?
Yes, if your hair is long enough, all one length and in very good condition, some will consider buying it!
11. I have very curly hair, can I still have extensions? Also, which hair would be better Asian or European?
It will depend on how curly your hair is and how course or fine the texture, when deciding on European or Asian hair. Often, naturally curly hair is quite thick/course so European may not be suitable. The European hair may also have to be permed, as it only comes in a soft wave,which would push up the price.
12. My hair is naturaly light brown although i die it black and put pink streaks in it is this possible with extensions?
Yes, it is possible for you to have pink streaks. We can add the coloured hair at the same time as the rest of the hair, although the unusual colours are only available in fibre.
13. I was persueded by my partner to have all of my hair cut off. It is now about 2/3 inches long all over my head and I hate it!!! A friend of mine has told me that my hair is to short for me to be able to have hair extentions added - Is this true?
Your hair is just about long enough to have extensions done (we would have to see how long the hair is on your crown area, to look completely natural, but basically yes!)

To have a full head usually takes a good 3 hours so it's best to make sure you have a completely free day!

1. My hair curls from the root so i have to straighten it with the dryer and a large brush if i had extentions how would i be able to pull the hair with the brush as i would be pulling on the joins of the extentions?
You would still be able to blow dry your hair with the extensions in but you must use a soft bristle brush. The joins are very strong and if they are attached correctly they won't come out by pulling on them, so with a flexible bristle the brush won't pull your hair out at the root! You should still get a smooth finish.
2. I have shoulder length hair that is naturally dark blonde with hi-lights, it is naturally curly which I hate, so I dry it straight. the fringe has snapped and now lies around my eye brows, I would like hair extension on the frost is this possible?
Yes, you can have extensions on your fringe, as long as the condition is ok. The only problem you may have is with the blowdrying it straight. It might be an idea to have your own hair straightened first and then have the extensions put in. This will not only make it easier to get the result you require but also save the condition of both the extension hair and your own.
3. Can extensions be longer than 20 inches, i would idealy like 25 inches?
It is possible to get 25 inch hair in both European and Asian but it would take a few weeks to arrive and the price is outrageous! (the labour cost is the same but to buy the hair is quite astounding).
4. How long do extensions last?
The hair itself will last as long as your own hair, it's real! As long as you look after it (there is some maintenance to be done every 7 to 12 weeks due to natural shedding) most people keep them in until their own hair has caught up length wise, but some clients continue to keep them for thickness. The extension hair does actually 'shed' slightly though, so occasionally you will have to top it up with some extra hair but this can be worked in to your maintenance.
5. If I colour my hair what colour extentions would i have to have?
You can have any colour you like but if it is different to your natural colour you will need to keep tinting your roots as it grows. This can be done quite easily and without damage to the bonds.
6. I was wondering about having the underneath hair a darker colour i have seen a number of people with this and it looks very effective but i dont know if this can be done with extensions.
Yes, we can use darker hair at the bottom and have done this recently. It looked very effective (and buying some darker hair along with blonde will save a few quid too!).
7. What is the hair which is used like, can it be washed etc in the same way?
There are 2 types of Human hair available in high quality Asian and Eurpean hair which is as good if not better condition than the average head of hair. These can both be washed / styled as normal with a little extra care and avoiding some ingredients in the products so as not to affect the bonds.
8. Whats the difference between the two types of different hair?
The Asian hair is a little courser than the European and has no cuticle (outer layer, not detectable to the eye) so it just needs a bit more looking after with products and conditioning.
9. How offen will it require me coming back to maintain it?
Maintenance will depend on how well you look after the hair, how much natural shedding you have and how often you wash it. Some of our clients (not spending much time on the hair) needed to have it maintained monthly but most clients will look after it well enough to leave it for 8 / 12 weeks.
10. I would like to know if one can sell their long hair in a salon?
Yes, if your hair is long enough, all one length and in very good condition, some will consider buying it!
11. I have very curly hair, can I still have extensions? Also, which hair would be better Asian or European?
It will depend on how curly your hair is and how course or fine the texture, when deciding on European or Asian hair. Often, naturally curly hair is quite thick/course so European may not be suitable. The European hair may also have to be permed, as it only comes in a soft wave,which would push up the price.
12. My hair is naturaly light brown although i die it black and put pink streaks in it is this possible with extensions?
Yes, it is possible for you to have pink streaks. We can add the coloured hair at the same time as the rest of the hair, although the unusual colours are only available in fibre.
13. I was persueded by my partner to have all of my hair cut off. It is now about 2/3 inches long all over my head and I hate it!!! A friend of mine has told me that my hair is to short for me to be able to have hair extentions added - Is this true?
Your hair is just about long enough to have extensions done (we would have to see how long the hair is on your crown area, to look completely natural, but basically yes!)

Do not buy synthectic extentions buy human extentions synthectic only last about a week and you cannot brush them, wash them, straighten them, curl them or dye them you can do all of them to human extentions though. and yes you can also bleach them.

you will be able to find them. they have them at any beauty supply shops. I dunno where they have them in the UK but you guys have sally's beaty supply, they have them there. YOu can get the synthetic hair which is just plastic barbie doll hair or real human hair. I suggest human hair even though its tripple the price but its better cuz you can style it the way you want and it wont burn like the synthetic hair. Make sure you get the extensions that are the same color as your hair. If you cant find it them just dye the estensions yourself with the same dye or go to the salon and get it highlighted. you will be able to find them. they have them at any beauty supply shops. I dunno where they have them in the UK but you guys have sally's beaty supply, they have them there. YOu can get the synthetic hair which is just plastic barbie doll hair or real human hair. I suggest human hair even though its tripple the price but its better cuz you can style it the way you want and it wont burn like the synthetic hair. Make sure you get the extensions that are the same color as your hair. If you cant find it them just dye the estensions yourself with the same dye or go to the salon and get it highlighted. i don't know the cost, but be very careful bout where you go and don't just choose the cheapest as it could end up costing heaps more later. there are some nasty salons out there.depending on how there attached, you can get burns and you own hair can fall out. ask around about salons reputation first and ask to speak to some of there clients. best of luck

I love long curly hair, I didnt cut them for a year and just look at my avatar, thats how my hair looks like. long and curly. but now my hair tips are damaged, but I dont wanna cut them, cause then my hair will be shorter. it also takes a lot more time to have long curly hair, cause curly hair curls up. I have natural curls.
so can I get hair extensions that are made for curly hair? or will I have to curl my hair if having extensions?
but another problem is that I have to use moisturizer for my hair otherwise they are very dry and I get an afro look. I dont mind having an afro but its not okay for job, cause I have to be neat. so if my natural hair are dry, but extensions are like true hair, so will then be visible where natural hair ends and extensions continues? anyone understands what I'm thinking about? or how hair extensions are attached to hair: in the beginning of hair or on the tips of the hair?Curly hair extensions?
I'm a stylist and every day someone tells me they don't want to cut their hair because they don't want it shorter. If you just cut the tips off it won't be noticeably shorter, just healthier looking. Also, they make synthetic and human hair extensions that are curly. You have so many choices with extensions. You can get the clip in ones or get them glued in or get them woven in... Go to an ethnic hair salon that works with extensions all the time and ask them about different things they can do with human hair extensions. Prices vary greatly from city to city. I live in a small town in Texas, so the prices here are a little more reasonable. My husband has even put fusion link extensions in my hair that were curly. ( My hair is curly. ) The fusion links are little metal circles that can be smashed to connect the extension to your natural hair. LOTS of choices!!!Curly hair extensions?
well, jessica simpson makes synthetic curly hair that's nice if you're just using them for a month because then they get into a tangled mess .. Since i liked how they made me look i ordered the real human hair on ebay because it was only 238.00 opposed to 500.00 dollars and i'm very happy with it, you can curl it if you're looking for curly hair %26amp; was it %26amp; dye it.. good luck %26amp; they're less damaging then than real extentions! good luck you can find the hair extentions on hsn or ebayyy
go to a salon and have them cut your hair and tell them to try to keep it long, some change is good, just get it cut
im pretty sure they only make hair extensions for straight hair since its too hard to match up different tpes of curly hair, i had a friend with curly hair get extentions, she either had to curl them or straighten her hair
